Scotch Whisky Regulations

To be labeled as Scotch whisky, the spirit must be produced and aged in Scotland
for a minimum of three years in oak casks. It must be distilled from water and
malted barley (with other grains permitted in certain styles) and bottled at
no less than 40% ABV.
